Cavities can come from teeth that have never had a cavity before or it can be tooth that had a previous silver or white filling. The procedure begins with using a drill to remove the cavity or decay. After that the tooth is bonded and filled with a composite or white filling. Depending on the size of the cavity the dentist may or may not use anesthesia or a dental shot or needle.
