A young child being sedated by our anesthesiologist Dr Hussain at the office of Dr Joseph Sarkissian. The child suffered from early childhood caries, which involves widespread dental decay from various factors, including nighttime nursing. The waterlase by biolase was used to remove deep decay, avoiding root canals and pulpotomies, and the teeth were built up without unsightly and invasive crowns, using composites. The same laser was also used to trim back the gums, thus enabling access to proper bonding.
