Deposition of Defendant in Truck Accident Case

This is the deposition of a corporate representative for the defendant (a local trucking and hauling company) in a truck accident case. The accident occurred when one of the company’s dump truck drivers turned in front of the plaintiff resulting in a collision. This case went to trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

The jury found that the defendant was primarily at-fault for the accident, but they also found that the plaintiff was contributorily negligent and, therefore, barred from recovering any damages under Maryland law.
