By measuring the dispersion of aerosolized particles during dental procedures at U-M’s Dental School, researchers at the University of Michigan are able to make recommendations on how to more safely continue dental training and patient care in the school in the age of COVID.
The research was led by Margaret Wooldridge, an Arthur F Thurnau Professor and a professor of mechanical engineering and Andre Boehman, professor of mechanical engineering, in collaboration with Romesh Nalliah, clinical professor of dentistry.
